Edwin Orina Atege, CPA(K), MIoD(K), is a member of the Institute of Directors (Kenya) and currently serves as the County Chief Officer for Economic Planning at the Kisii County Government. As a strategic and results-driven leader, he offers expertise in governance, finance, and business development, playings a central role in shaping policies that drive economic growth, strengthen fiscal discipline, promote investment and job creation through impactful public-private partnerships.His career spans both the public and private sector.
Prior to his current role, he served in the Executive Office of the Governor, where he led interdepartmental coordination and legislative affairs. His corporate experience includes advisory and leadership roles at CBR Consulting LLP, The Mediforte Hospital, and Hema Hospital, alongside contributions as a training facilitator at the Kenya School of Monetary Studies, where he supported institutional capacity development.
He holds a Master of Science in Leadership and Governance and a Bachelor of Commerce in Finance, and is currently pursuing a PhD in Leadership and Governance at Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology. He is also pursuing a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) and is a Certified Secretary finalist. Mr. Atege continues to exemplify strong stewardship, combining financial expertise, legal insight, and strategic leadership to deliver sustainable value and institutional integrity.
