Donal serves as Chairman of the Kenya Association of Stockbrokers and Investment Banks (KASIB) and as a Board Member of the Nairobi Securities Exchange, driving strategic initiatives to strengthen Kenya’s capital markets ecosystem. He holds an executive board role at Standard Investment Bank (SIB) and contributes to the Business Conduct Committee of the Central Depository and Settlement Corporation, ensuring robust governance and ethical standards. His leadership extends to high-level policy advocacy, representing the capital markets industry in forums such as the Presidential Captains-of-Industry Roundtable and the Capital Markets 10-Year Master Plan group.
As the founder and CEO of FourFront Management, a division of SIB, Donal pioneered Kenya’s first licensed Robo-Advisor, introducing innovative solutions like algorithm-based trading (ALGO-Trading), high-frequency trading (HFT), short selling, and mobile/SMS share trading. His leadership at SIB has delivered operational excellence, revamped HR strategies, and transformed sales and pricing frameworks, leveraging expertise in Agile project management, business process automation (BPA), and hybrid/remote team management.
Through initiatives like the Capital Markets Leadership Roundtable, uniting chairpersons and chief executives of Kenya’s capital markets ecosystem, and the KASIB County Government Alternative Financing Program, Donal has advanced financial inclusion and innovation.
